Monthly Community Sound Meditation - New Moon and rising Yang

Our next community Sound bath will take place

Saturday 26th April 8-9pm

"What is rooted is easy to nourish…..”

Continuing our nourishment of Wood energy as we transition towards the rising Yang through this Spring season

Our session is a soundscape where I will immerse you in beautiful instrumental sounds which can bring a nurturing energy to our whole being. These Sound meditations are a great way to unplug from the fast activities and stresses that can often be the reality of life and open ourselves to a slower pace. Sound frequencies can help slow down the brainwaves by shifting from the more active (beta) state to a more relaxed (delta) or deep meditation or dreamlike (theta) state. When the mind is relaxed, the body softens and it is here that we can begin to experience subtle shifts in energy which may cultivate a pathway on a journey towards self healing.

I will begin the session with a guided meditation to relax the body calm the mind preparing you to receive the sounds and vibrations from instruments played.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat or other soft mat to lie on plus a pillow, blanket and eye mask ( or scarf to cover the eyes ). Come with an open mind and open heart to receive the sounds of the Ocean drum, Tibetan singing bowls, quartz crystal bowls, gong and chimes. Cost of this session is sliding scale £10-£20

Please note that these sessions are not suitable if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy or suffer epilepsy. Bring a bottle of water or warm drink

You can book via my contact form HERE (check spam folder for reply) or you can email me direct

Monthly Community Sound Meditation - Embracing Light of the New Moon

Our next community Sound bath will take place

Saturday 1st March 8-9pm

In Chinese medicine and the Five Element cycle, February sees the shift into the phase of the Wood element. This phase is a time for sowing the seeds of growth. It is the emergence from the stillness and deep rest of the Winter season and a shift towards slow awakening and gentle new beginnings

“no matter how hard the past is, you

can always begin again”

Buddha

In our sound bath, we will nourish the Wood energy of the Spring season and celebrate the slow return to light as we gently begin to emerge from the dark cool Yin energy towards a rising light of simmering Yang.

We will continue to connect to stillness being open to the shift and release of the energy and vibrations of the sound instruments. Sound meditations are open to everyone. All you need to do is soften and be open to receive. Let go of all expectation and take on shoshin, the beginners mind.

Monthly Community Sound Meditation - Deepest Yin

Our next community Sound bath will take place

Saturday 25 Jan 8-9pm

Winter is the time of deepest Yin - a time for rest and renewal. In Chinese medicine and the Five Element cycle, this is the phase of the Water element. This phase is a time for inward reflection and conserving energy - deep introspection and rejuvenation. Think of the beautiful and calm still waters of a peaceful lake.

“Silence is the sleep that nourishes wisdom”

Francis Bacon

In our sound bath, we will nourish the Water energy of the Winter season. Connect to stillness and be open to the shift and release of the energy and vibrations of the sound instruments. We will also honour the upcoming New Moon and the New Chinese Lunar Year of the Wood Snake which takes place on the 29th Jan. This year is said to be one where we embrace deeper wisdom and nurture inner growth to cultivate transformation - this being a shift and change for the better.

Sound meditations are open to everyone. All you need to do is soften and be open to receive. Let go of all expectation and take on shoshin, the beginners mind.

Monthly Community Sound Meditation - Awakening Yin

Our next community Sound bath will take place on

Saturday 26th October 8-9pm

The Autumn season is my favourite. The vibrant and warm colours of yellow, red and orange create the most beautiful scenes of nature. Autumn is a season of shift, change and release. Mother Nature reaching her peak following the Springs growth and summers maturity, we now soften towards a rising yin energy to release what is not needed and to rest in preparation for the next cycle of life.

This Summer I chose to attend a silent retreat in the beautiful Spanish Pyrenees. When there is stillness and silence, we attune to a much deeper self and connection to our surroundings. In silence there is immense sensation and energy. We do not cut off from ourself and others. In silence we have to face ourself and deal with perhaps what we have chosen to brush aside or bury. In silence, we have the opportunity to dig deep and clear out.

“Silence is the sleep that nourishes wisdom”

Francis Bacon

In our sound bath this month, we will nourish the Metal energy of the Autumn season. Letting go of what is not needed in order to create space for shift and change that can be of support to our wellbeing. Connect to stillness and be open to the shift and release of the energy and vibrations of the sound instruments.

Monthly Community Sound Meditation - Embracing Light

You are invited to our live community sound bath meditation this July. Our session will be the last one this Summer season and we will be back in October. This year we are having a longer break in addition to the usual August summer holiday as I will be on retreat in September.

Summer is the time of maximum yang where nature meets its full potential. The growth of the Spring blossoms to full bloom and a time of ripening and fulfilment. This meeting of potential in balanced Fire energy cultivates feelings of joy, enthusiasm and creativity. May this sound meditation bathe you in the glow, warmth and tranquil feelings of peace and I wish you much light and joy in your heart space. In the words of Hafiz:

“Carry your heart through this world like a life-giving sun”

New Years Eve candlelit Sangha - online

Welcome!

I do not think that 2020 was the year that any of us expected but one thing that has stood out is community and the support that communities have offered to each other during what has been a challenging year.

Sangha is the sanskrit word meaning "community". As we come to the close of 2020, I wanted to open a space to allow for reflection, contemplation, release and intention setting as we leave this year behind and move forward into 2021. We still face challenges into the new year however, I hope that we might cultivate a response where we be able to move forwards with the tools for self kindness, compassion, clarity and wisdom.

This session will offer a meditative Yin practice with mindfulness, poetry and the sounds of Tibetan singing bowls.

You are invited to create a cosy candlelit warm space with bolster or pillows, blanket, eye pillow or scarf.

This session will be 1.5 hours and is offered in the spirit of dana.

Please register via Zoom for link to join - click here

I look forward to sharing this time with you

Much love

Yinny xx
