Spring Kula Day Retreat -
this event is now fully booked……you may add to waitlist
Join me at #Bore Place on Sunday 15th March 2020 for a day of yoga, nature and sound!
Bore Place is a beautiful historic venue in Chiddingstone, Kent. It is home to the Commonwork Trust and Commonwork Organic Farms Ltd working towards sustainable solutions in farming, food and education. Bore Place is set in 500 acres of countryside which encompass an organic dairy farm, organic market gardens, conference centre and environmental education centre. I am delighted to be able to bring you here for the day to welcome the rising energy of Spring as we emerge with nature from the hibernation, stillness and rest of the Winter season.
Our day will take place in The Large Barn, a sensitively restored 17th-century timber barn with infra red heating to keep us warm. We shall begin our day with a 2 hour practice of pranayama, gentle yoga with qigong inspired flow and qigong meditation. Our practice will be themed alongside the element of Wood and season of Spring, which in Chinese Five Element theory, relates to creation, new beginnings, optimism, change, activity, growth, expansion. The energy of Wood is creative and charged with the spirit of potential and possibility. This is the time for rising yang energy following the yin and resting energy of the Winter. Our morning practice will followed by a seasonal two course vegetarian (with vegan option) lunch. We will then connect with Mother Nature for a leisurely circular walk towards Bough Beech reservoir, and enjoy the views across towards the Greensand Way (about 1.5 hours). Afternoon tea and cake is a must and then our day will close with a restorative Yin practice and Sound bath meditation.
