You are warmly invited to join me for our Community Sound bath meditations. These sound sessions are open to everyone and I hope to continue offering these on a monthly basis. All you need to do is relax and be open to receive. Let go of all expectation and take on shoshin, the beginners mind.
I will immerse you in beautiful sounds that can bring a nurturing energy to our whole being. Sound bath meditations are a great way to unplug from the fast activities and stresses that can often be the reality of life and shift to a slower pace. In this time of a global pandemic, our emotions and energies may have been taken into realms perhaps not experienced before. The fear, anxiety, overwhelm, worry, loss, pain ….. Sound frequencies can help slow down the brainwaves by shifting from the more active (beta) state to a more relaxed (delta) or deep meditation or dreamlike (theta) state. When the mind is relaxed, the body softens and it is here that we can begin to experience subtle shifts in energy which may cultivate a pathway on a journey towards self healing.
I will begin the session with a guided meditation to prepare the mind and body to receive the sounds and vibrations from the different instruments that I will play.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat or other soft mat to lie on plus a pillow, blanket and eye mask ( or scarf to cover the eyes ). Come with an open mind and open heart to receive the sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls and gongs.
These sessions are not suitable if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy
Spaces will be limited to allow for distance and comfort.
